Victor Povzner

About Victor Povzner

Victor Povzner, born on November 10, 2001, in Vaughan, Ontario, is a Canadian diver recognized for his achievements on national and international stages. Growing up in Maple, Ontario, Povzner began diving at a young age, showcasing exceptional talent. 

He secured gold in the men’s synchronized 3m event at the 2018 World Junior Championships and followed this with a victory at the 2019 FINA Diving Grand Prix in Calgary. His impressive record also includes a bronze medal in the men’s one-metre event at the 2018 Dresden International Diving Competition and personal bests in the 3m springboard and synchronized events at the 2024 American Cup.  

Povzner continued his diving career at Texas A&M University, where he made significant contributions to the men’s diving team:  

Achieved fourth place on the 3-meter and eighth on the 1-meter at the SEC Championships. He also won the 3-meter event at the Art Adamson Invitational with a score of 426.65. In his senior year, defended his 1-meter title at the SEC Championships with a season-best score of 403.05 and placed fourth on the 3-meter with a score of 412.40. At the NCAA Championships, he earned All-America honors on both springboards, finishing 13th on the 1-meter (358.50) and sixth on the 3-meter (404.50). 

Beyond collegiate competitions, Povzner has represented Canada in various international events. In 2024, he participated in the American Cup, achieving personal bests with scores of 404.80 in the men’s 3-meter springboard and 347.91 in the men’s synchronized 3-meter event. Additionally, he competed in the 2024 NCAA Division I Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships, securing notable placements in both the 1-meter and 3-meter events.
