Bryden Hattie takes ninth spot in diving at Youth Olympic Games
BUENOS AIRES – Bryden Hattie of Victoria missed two dives in the final and finished ninth on Tuesday on men’s 10-m tower in diving action at the Youth Oympic Games.
Randal Willars Valdez of Mexico won the gold medal with 609.80 points. Junjie Lian of China was second at 600.05 and Ruslan Ternovoi of Russia was third at 596.85.
Hattie was fifth in the preliminaries with 505.70 and dropped to ninth in the final with 439.85. He missed his backward and inward dives after landing both solidly in the morning prelims.
Earlier this week on three-metre, Hattie was eighth.
Diving competition ends Wednesday with the team event.
